Covers roses, annuals, biennials, perennials, bulbs, corms, tubers, herbs, shrubs, trees, climbers, and fragrant exotica.

Excellent book.

Beautiful color illustrations.

My only complaint is that the author omits coverage of the bad actors. No rotting ginkgo fruit here. No skunk cabbage. No discussion of those magical plants that emit the stench of rotting meat to attract pollinators.
Beautiful photos and illustrations. Good appendix with plant lists: scented leaves, scented flowers, spring, summer, autumn, winter, indoor, culinary...

Rosemary Verey, OBE, VMH was an internationally known English garden designer, lecturer and prolific garden writer who designed the famous garden at Barnsley House, near Cirencester.

She was born Rosemary Isabel Baird Sandilands and educated at Eversley School, Folkestone, and University College, London. In 1939 she married David Verey, whose family owned Barnsley House.
