I would not have thought it was possible to ruin a book of photographs of puppies.
I was wrong.

CIP: "Photographs of Labrador retriever puppies playing and eating help the reader learn to count to twelve."

Maggie: The author photographs her puppies in the midst of various antics in this counting book. The idea is cute but poorly executed. Some of the pictures are crowded, which can be confusing to a young child learning how to identify items and count. I would recommend that this book be used on a one-on-one basis with an adult and child, so the adult can aid in counting and location of the

We read this book so that we could learn to count in groups instead of one by one. We also thought the puppies were very cute!
