Jason Thorn… My brother’s childhood friend.

Oh, how stupidly in love with that boy I was. He was the first boy that made me blush, my first official crush. Sounds beautiful so far, right? That excitement that bubbles up inside you, those famous butterflies you feel for the very first time—he was the reason for them all. But, you only get to live in that fairytale world unti

The original release date was supposed to be mid November, but because of some health issues in my family, I had to push back the date for a few weeks. I'm planning on announcing the exact release day on my FB page in a few days, but it will most likely be the first week of December.

“She was seeing me, and maybe for the first time, I was seeing her too.”

Olive wrote a romance novel inspired by her childhood crush on a boy named Jason Thorn. Well, now he's a hot movie actor who will star in a movie based on that exact book. They haven't seen each other in seven years and things get interesting when they meet again.

I listened to an audio book version of this and it was sexy and fun. Having Sebastian York as a narrator certainly didn't hurt *wink wink* :) The dialogues were

”My dream boy. My childhood crush. My first love. My only love. And now my pretend husband.”

I didn’t expect to like this story as much as I did. It started out cute then felt like it was going to be the typical same old, when the hero was presented being a typical manwhore in an alley in the present. However, somewhere along the way I fell in love with both main characters and started to really enjoy the story. I found the writing solid, sweet, and overall a good romantic read.

Oh my god ! I seriously love everything about this read ! This book was just too super cute not to earn 5 stars ! I'm literally banging my head against the wall for taking so long to finally pick this one up !

For (What I'm pretty sure is the first time),My most FAVORITE thing about this book wasn't the heroine or hero(Though Jason is pretty damn hot ;) But the writing, that I LOVED the most. The words just flowed so easily from the pages and basically seeped into my

Jason and Olive meet as kids and Olive falls for her brother's bestie hard. Her crush grows and grows until an event in her teen years where Jason breaks her heart. She pulls away from their friendship and they don't get the chance to repair it before Jason has to move away. Years later, they reunite and an attraction builds to more as they get to know eachother once again. I've got to say, as sexy as Jason was, he was not as easy to love as Adam was (Hero of book two... I read out of order). He ...more

Another new to me author that I can't wait to read more of. Once again I picked up a book based on the cover and went into it blind. It was one of those feel good reads that had me from the start.

"This was our story from the very beginning, little one."

Olive Taylor is an indie author who has just written her first book. She's even talking to people about making it into a movie. This is all a bit exciting and overwhelming for her, but when they brought out actor who they wanted to cast as the le

Olive Taylor (which, by the way, is practically the cutest name I've ever heard) met Jason Thorn as her neighbor and brother's best friend when she was just six years old. It was love at first sight for sweet little Olive who gave Jason her whole heart in that way you only do for your first love. And so, when Jason shatters her heart as a teenager, it is complete emotional devastation for poor Olive.

Jason Thorn came from a troubled home. The kindness and care that the Taylors showed him meant mo

This is my first Ella Maise book. I’ll be honest, I was drawn by the cover. When I read “move star” in the premise, I was HOOKED.

If you are a fan of Hollywood Dirt and Love Unscripted, then To Love Jason Thorn is for you.

Olive has been in love with her brother’s best friend since the first day she met him when she was eight years old. She said she would marry him. Jason is the new kid that moved into town, not having the best home life, he spends most of his time at Olive’s hou

I love a story that starts when the two MC's are just children and so I was hooked as soon as I read the first chapter and I loved Olive from the second she asked 10 year old Jason to marry her.

By the way, how adorable is the name: Olive Taylor!?! Best heroine name this year!!

This was such a fun, cute, adorable and steamy read. A definite must for those who need a break from angst and drama, instead wanting to indulge in a l

So this was really hard for me to rate. I'd been waffling between 3 and 4 stars for the last 10% of the book.

As you can see, I went with 3 stars, and ultimately it came down to Jason. Unfortunately, I just didn't love him (cheesy pun intended), which sucks because just look at that damn cover--I was swooning over that alone! And what also sucks is that I really enjoyed everything else. I was invested in the storyline, I LOVED Lucy in this one (I didn't really enjoy To Hate Adam Connor), and I re
I'm pretty sure there's a cute story in here, but I'm unwilling to put up with the extremely poor writing to find out for sure. The writing is very simplistic and the dialogue is stilted and awkward. I just can't.

ALSO -- Pet peeve: Look, if you're going to do a portion of your book with a first-person POV of a child, either commit to it or change it so that it's the narrator reminiscing about her childhood & telling the scenes as such. Don't give me some cutsey "I'm a 6-year old!" voice tell

I'm still a little high off that ending. Because, yeah, this book gave me all the girlie feels, and if I could twirl and do happy little cartwheels, I would right now. I have a new author crush, and it's Ella Maise. If you love great super sweet/smoking hot New Adult, grab To Love Jason Thorn!

At first glance this looked like a hit for me. When I first started the book I was very optimistic. It was a friends-to-lovers story. What could go wrong with that? The style of writing worked for me. The characters held promises of better things to come.

In the first chapter we meet the heroine, Olive, as a little girl with a crush on her big brother's slightly older friend, Jason Thorn.

“You have a dimple,” I breathed out, totally lost in that tiny little crevice. It was almost magica

Ella Maise is becoming a one click, don’t even ask questions author for me. I love everything she writes and this book was no different.

Jason Thorn… My brother’s childhood friend.

I’m beginning to love this topic. I think it’s actually taking over the step sibling craze.

When Olive was the ripe age of six years old, almost seven she was introduced to her new next door neighbor. Jason Thorn. Their first meeting was actually very typical for a six year old. She professed h

This was one of those cute, funny, make you feel good reads and I wasn’t disappointed. I came across To Love Jason Thorn as a result of a trawl through Amazon, it was the cover that drew me at first and then once I had read the synopsis I was all in. This was a cute, sweet and light-hearted read with a few angsty moments thrown in that made it more emotional and real. I loved Olive! She was a great heroine, my favourite kind, really. She was just a loyal, funny and honest woman who proved why she was special. I can't stand heroines who you're told are amazing but as a reader, you can't really see it. I totally loved this one!

Jason Thorn was such a swoon-worthy character, but his Hollywood image is tainted because of a few indescretions. Drinking and drugs are not the issue, but his brazen sexual innuendos are. It’s now some years later and Jason is a huge Hollywood star while Olive is a best-selling author. Jason is seeking out t

I'm an avid reader. Therefore, a big dreamer. I love nothing more than to escape real life to find those very few magical moments in a book. I love how it has the power of stealing your worries away, putting a smile on your face, and of course sometimes making you crush on fictional characters. If I can manage to do even one of those things for a reader, I will be a happy writer.
