This book before it's time. In 1974, Christian Leaders must have imagined all the good that they could do with the wealth that was becoming more and more available to them. How disappointed they must be when they think what has happened. Have we really been stewards? This book, when read as a historical document (ala 1974), is an inditement of modern American Christianity. Joel Osteen should also read this book
Interesting book, and the message is still relevant today even though it was written a long time ago. You also don't have to be particularly religious to appreciate the ideas in it, it's not overly preachy. And there are more reasons to try and live with less than just religious ones anyway, in western culture we all are guilty of having more than we need to just be healthy and comfortable.
