There were detailed instructions in the front and I thought the authors did a good job of providing a variety of different looking items to knit. For most of the patterns there were two different versions: different color schemes based on if a boy or girl would wear it. I also liked how they included the alternate version's photograph so you could see what it looked like. It was a nice book, I might recommend.

There were a few cute projects for my girls - I may cast one of the dresses on as both of my girls found one in there they liked. Not sure of how clear the instructions are yet since I haven't actually tried a pattern. The photos in the book are lively and fun to look at - all kids having a good time. This makes it kind of hard to see some of the details on some patterns though to see if they are actually well-constructed and a good fit.
Gret photos and instructions from beginner to expert. I'm hoping to knit up a chunky sweater for my dd before Xmas!
