Her Officer and Gentleman (Just Ask Reeves #2)
by
Karen Hawkins (Goodreads Author)
No ordinary highwayman...
A mere whisper of the name "Gentleman James" sends chills throughout the ton (and thrills the ladies who have heard rumors of his amorous exploits). But the dashing brigand never dreamed that the passing of the father he never knew would leave him with a title, a fortune...and a mission.
No predictable lady...

Kitaba başlamam uzun sürsede çabuk bitirdim ve tadı damağımda kaldı. Duygusallığı, espiritüelliği, anlatım şekli, karakterleri kısacası herşeyi gayet güzeldi. Zevk alarak okuduğum romanlardan biri arasına girdi. Olaylar Westerville vikontu Christian'ın annesinin ölümüne Massiangale dükünün sebeb olmasına dair kanıtlar toplamasıyla başlıyor. Dük ün torunu Elizabeth i baştan çıkarıp bilgi sızdırma peşindeyken kızın çekimine fazlaca kapılıyor ve bu çekim kızın şöhretini lekeleyip planlarını altüst ...more

Bk 2 in the duology, Christian and Elizabeth. This brother is out to find the person who caused the imprisonment of his mother, and seduces the granddaughter of the man he believes did it. Mayhem and madness ensue, and lots of laughs.
She loses her virginity against a door. The only character that makes this book bearable was the butler, Reeves, who is awesome. But for the most part, it was poorly written drivel.
Average romance story, fairly text book. I thought the first book in this duo was a bit better. The story plot moved slowly, and the romantic scenes did not arrive until much later in the book.
I think I've read this before since it was published in 2006 but it was fun.
I enjoyed this book! One of her better books!
A nice romace and a bit of a mystery.
Another Great book from Karen Hawkins
Basic romance!
Regency
At first it was too slow and I really didn't think I would finish it. I started reading another book. Then I came back to it and read further. Once you get past the first chapter or so it gets better and better. By the middle I was sucked in and didn't want to put it down. I will definately be checking out other books by the same author.
This book was much better then Her Master and Commander that started the Ask Reeves Series. Christian is a wonderful character and his story was much more interesting and the storyline more involved. I almost did not read this book due since the first was so boring.
