Fantastic debut from Morgan Reeves! I absolutely loved this book! Zoe was such a relatable character and I loved the interaction between her and Logan. Logan was such a sweetheart, you can't help but fall in love right alongside Zoe. Very uplifting story about finding oneself and what the power of love can do. I cannot wait to see what Ms. Reeves has in store for us next!

Trying to gather my emotions here..

Holy. Bloody. Hell. I am still on a book hangover and to be honest, I don't think I'll be able to get rid of my emotional connection with FREE TO FLY any time soon. Not having any expectations, I was purely zoning in on how intriguing the synopsis sounded. Then begins the process of trying to read a story at every free time possible, with a hectic atmosphere all around you BUT it had to be done. This is one of those books that you wish you knew you could have s

Free to Fly (Never Ever After #1)

Synopsis:

Our secrets define us.

I’ve
run far to escape my past. Eight years and almost two thousand miles
lie between me and the horror that consumes me. My life is a series of
superficial relationships and closed doors designed to keep me safe. I
will never let myself become the person I was. That girl is dead, and in
her place is a woman who guards her inner self fiercely. I’m not going
to let anyone breach those hard earned barriers. Not even him.

But

Morgan Reeves' debut book Free to Fly is a fantastic read. Zoe, the female protagonist, is feisty and quick to stand her ground when called for. Logan, her counterpart, is charming and confident with his own convictions. You will fall in love with both of these characters instantly, both individually and also together as a flourishing couple. This story, however, isn't just about finding love. There are many elements of mystery along the way. The twists and turns will constantly leave you guessi ...more

Why can I ONLY give this AMAZING story 5 stars?!! This book absolutely blew me away; I loved every amazing feeling I got while reading this! My favorite books are the ones that bring out all the feelings and emotions and Morgan Reeves did an awesome job with that! The characters are so well written and with so much depth; I wanted to crawl into their world and live there with them! Zoe has to be one of my favorite heroines - ever! Logan - ~sigh~ - is just amazing, hot, sexy, compassionate, lovin ...more

To say I was blown away by this book is an understatement. Morgan Reeves gave us one hell of a Debut Novel. From page one her writing was so amazing. I can not tell you how many times I bookmarked a page just to go back to it to re read it.

This book is not only this amazing romance, but is a book about facing the worst situation one can face and heal and find love. This book conquers a really hard subject and she tells the story with heart and it is written beautifully.

Zoe, on the outside she is

4* read.
Beautiful and emotional debut book by this author. Zoe was a character you could immediately connect and relate to and Logan was strong and sexy and I loved these two together. Because of her past Zoe keeps everyone at arms length and the way this author wrote this emotional story made you feel every single thing she felt. Great chemistry between the two of them and I enjoyed watching them grow as characters and together.

**JOSIE'S REVIEW**

It is hard to believe that this was Morgan Reeves first novel. I was caught up with the story right from the start. The author did an amazing job in bringing us Zoe and Logan’s very emotional, painful and beautiful story. I appreciated how well and tasteful the author handled the very harsh subject matter within this story line. This story is so much more than a love story.

We are introduced to an amazing female character, Zoe. Zoe has suffered the most heinous crime a person ca

Ah what to say about this book? Well since I hate spoilers I will tell you that I laughed, I cried, and at one or two moments I wanted to track down this amazing author and kick her square in the ass for the pain that her characters and in turn myself were being put though. Morgan Reeves took on the very difficult job of trying to put into words the pain and desperation that those living with PTSD and Panic Disorder have to deal with every day, and I am happy to say that she hit it right on the ...more

WOW! That's the only word that comes to my mind right now. This is an ARC review and well worth it!

Zoe, our heroine, who is strong and beautiful with a horrid past I wouldn't wish on anyone. She is living life, but is she truly living or letting her nightmare dictate her actions.
Logan, our main man! He's amazing (sexy - the whole package!) and wants Zoe like nothing else in life. He patiently waits for her and gives her room to breath, but sometimes waiting isn't enough.
I love Zoe, she's mouthy

description

I liked the writing style but I couldn't connect with the characters in the first half of the book. Zoe has a rule: she doesn't sleep with the same guy twice. I totally understand why Zoe does this (she has been through a lot of REALLY messed up things in her past), she doesn't want to be vulnerable or catch feelings. Logan isn't your typical rich alpha CEO. But Zoe wouldn't be attracted to a super Alpha male because of her past. It had fade-to-black sex scenes, which I didn't mind too much (thi

This is how a debut book is done! Morgan Reeves doesn’t write like a newbie, she writes like a seasoned author with a great storyline.
Zoe, our heroine has not had an easy time with life. She’s closed off to everyone. She holds her past in and blocks the world out. But when Logan arrives on the scene, her walls start to crumble. Zoe is a remarkable character. She had been to hell and back and still was a good person and loving to her friends. She was such a real character that she could be sitti

Wow! I'm always so cautious when I read a new author because I don't know what to except! But Morgan Reeves had me hooked and drawn in right from the beginning. The storyline is fantastic although I should warn that it might have a trigger for some. It is well written and so many emotions. What a fantastic debut from Morgan Reeves! This story is AMAZING!

"Our Secrets Define Us." Zoe has been running from a nightmare past for years. She will not have more than one and done with any man. The walls she has built up are strong like Ft. This was a great debut novel from Morgan Reeves throughly enjoyed Free to Fly.

Right from the get go the story sets off with the main character Zoe running from a trouble past by trying to put a wall behind what has happend to her. She has built such a strong hold behind herself until she meets Logan at a bar.

What Zoe had been through absolutely devastated me, and a few times I had to put the book down and walk away. But luckily...there is Logan (insert sigh). What a dreamy hunk of man! Honestly, this story encompassed a wide array of different things. Love, fear, suspense, and a multitude of other things. Without giving too much away, I feel that a major issue was tackled in this book, which is sexual abuse as well as PTSD among other things. I feel that this in and of itself is a big thing to tackle and the author did this extremely well. To even continue the story of Zoe recovering and finding herself once again, was enlightening and made me want to shout out, "Go Zoe"! I th ...more

Full of angst and emotion, Morgan Reeves' debut novel, Free to Fly will leave an impact on the reader. It is mainly told from the heroine, Zoe's POV, with a few sections told from Logan's. There is no denying that Zoe is running from the horrific past she left behind...in more ways than one. She won't let anyone into her heart with the exception of her college roommate and best friend, Sammi. Leading a half-life that is ruled by fear, Zoe doesn't know what to do when she meets Logan.
