Whenever I read a Diana Palmer book, I can usually be guaranteed three things: the heroine will be a virgin, the hero will be broody and troubled, and the hero will treat the heroine horribly at some point in the book. Fearless was no exception to that. But I did like the fact that for once the heroine wasn't super naive. Glory was a little more worldly than a typical Palmer heroine.

I'm not really sure what to say about this book. Because I didn't find it to be a difficult read. I...more

This book was hard to rate. Did I like it: NO!!!! I gave it a high rating because I will never ever forget it. He is the absolutely WORSE hero (more like a vilian!) that Diana has ever written. He tells the chick she's ugly, makes fun of her, goes to her hospital room where she is recuperating from a miscarriage and gives her friggin divorce papers! This guy Ricardo was scum of the friggin earth! It is the worse book ever written! I hated this guy so much and I really hated her for putting up wi...more

I’ve been a Diana Palmer fan for years and Fearless is certainly a treasure among her finest novels. Gloryanne Barnes knew too much about a local drug lord. It was time for her to shed her fashionable clothes and makeup and try to “disappear” in the small town of Jacobsville, Texas. There, she would just be one of the hired hands.

What Glory didn’t count on was dark and dangerous-looking Rodrigo Ramirez, her employer at the ranch. Ramirez took over a room as soon as he crossed the threshold. Just...more

DP is one of the best authors. But not in this book, TOTALLY BAD!!!

I 've been reading this longgggg time ago, but suddenly i remember this book and just want to review some about this.

Jeeezz, i used to read some heroe with jerk attitude, but Rodrigo is a first class jerk.

He often humiliate h, and do something bad to h after they ML. Oh no..
Glory is sweet heroine but strong in so many places, she just has accident and became little limp, if i'm not wrong.

From Outsider we know Rodrigo has feel to...more

I've read many Diana Palmer novels which I liked, but this wasn't one of them.

Assistant District Attorney Gloryanne Barnes comes from a troubled past. She was abused by her mother which resulted in a permanent limp and sexually tortured by her foster brothers. She is terrified of men and strangers in general. When she witnesses something that could potentially put a dangerous drug smuggler in jail for life, her life is threatened and her boss insists she retreats to her former home and hide unt...more

So I know Palmer is a NYT Bestseller (and I think she should be) but a part of me is conflicted. She is a great writer, develops her characters well which is really important for me as a reader and I like her stories. What leaves me conflicted is that the women seem to get walked on, over, on top and on and on. Then, the hero (if I should call him that because I'm not sure if he really is) has some kind of "aha" moment (to bower from Oprah) and decides that "yes, I have been horrible" and then m...more

Sorting through packed boxes of books that I have long since read I came across my 'couldn't get enough of Diana Palmer' phase.

Of the dozen or so DP books I've read this one was the decider. I haven't picked up another since however, its a fine testament to her writing skills that DP can draw such emotion though not hard when you pit testosterone packed, cruel bullying alpha males against sweet (oft times virginal) women, a recurring theme throughout many of her novels. And like the lead male (...more

I like alpha males, A LOT. I even kind of enjoy my male characters being jerks, but this guy? He is a world class, one of a kind douchebag. I think I continued to read this in hopes that he would exhibit some kind of redeeming quality. Rodrigo was completely self absorbed, egotistical and snobby. I was disappointed in Glory who demonstrated so much spine in her personal life after a ridiculously awful upbringing, yet who was unable to do anything other than turn herself into a martyr over this r...more

I've enjoyed this series so far, but still there are things that keep me from giving each book a four or higher. This particular book was good - I liked the idea of Rodgrigo and Gloryanne living together in hiding/undercover and each thinking the other something they're not. The problem comes when Rodrigo just can't see that even though Gloryanne is supposedly uneducated, she obviously has intelligence. He deliberately sticks his head in the sand and refuses to look past that one thing - an impo...more

Gloryanne Barnes has overcome a traumatic childhood to become an assistant prosecutor. When she is the only witness to hear a drug lord threaten someone, he sends a hit after her and it’s decided that she should lie low for a bit, until the case goes to trial. Her stepbrother’s truck farm in Jacobsville Texas seems like the perfect place. Glory can use her canning skills to work on the farm, preparing the summer fruits for preserving and hopefully make it to trial.

Rodrigo Ramirez is the farm man...more

I shouldn't complain about this book, since I specifically read it after hearing about how mean the "hero" was. Well, previous reviewers did not disappoint. Rodrigo is awful. He insults Glory's looks, education, clothes, intelligence, and disability to anyone who'll listen. He's EMBARRASSED to be seen with her. He serves her divorce papers when she's hospitalized. There was nothing to like about him, and Glory lets him off way too easily in the end. Oh, well. This one is a train wreck, but you w...more

A difficult read. This guy was a friggin nightmare! He reminds me so Rome from "Sarah's Child." So darn hurt/bitter that he can't see straight.

Of course, I read "Heartless" first then went back to this one then figured out pretty quickly there was a book before this one.

Found out there are SEVERAL books before this one. I'm not sure how the fact that this is a series fell under the radar, but there ya go!

Anyway...it was OK. Each author has her pattern, and I see the definite similarities between...more

Rodrigo Ramirez/Gloyanne Barnes-he was a mercenary that was introduced in the "OUTSIDER" as Sarina Carrington partner (he was in love with Sarina but she didn't feel the same way about him)and Gloyanne was a assistiant D/A who witnessed a drug deal and also had a "handicapp" with her legs..her boss moved her out of town to a local ranch managed by Ramierez who was trying to get over the fact that Sarina was marring "Colby" her daughter father, and Ramirez was to watch out for Gloyanna and over ti...more

I can't believe I listened to this entire schmaltzy saga of tanned, sinewy hero and plucky but vulnerable heroine in books-on-tape format as I travelled cross country several weeks ago. Okay, he has strong arms, a muscular back, a hairy chest, quick reflexes--I get it, I get it! (Certainly repeated often enough.) So what? Go to the one-star reviews of this novel at Amazon.com. They reflect my opinion exactly. Then go to your local bookstore or library or on-line book seller and do yourself a fav...more

Dispite my recent realization that all of Diana Palmer's characters are all the same, I enjoyed Fearless. Unlike Palmer's usual tendancy to have the male character start out like steel and then abruptly turn to mush without any reason, while the female character stays the same throughout, all weak and slightly weepy. In this book, not only does the female slowly develops spine, in part form all the trauma that she had previously gone through. The male character doesn't ever turn to mush, he just...more

I have been a Diana Palmer fan for a while now, loving and re-reading a selected few, and appreciated the other quick reads. My recent opinion of the authors books that they were same 'ol, same 'ol. I felt this way about Mz Palmer's Lawman, a book I had looked forward to and was somewhat underwhelmed by. However, I found this book refreshing. While there were still some remnants of Palmer's signature character traits, character stupid presumptions (that's a comment on the men themselves and not...more

A 3 1/2. It was an enjoyable book-definite beach read. It didn't have anything that surprised you or had a stand out, but it was entertaining. A DA has to go into hiding, is targeted to be murdered and the people around her who want her dead. There is a character who is supposed to be the love interest who is really a jerk. The author makes it work between them as you know it will, however, he doesn't have that many redeeming features.

perfect heroine, but the worst hero (he was a jerk)....he doesn't deserve her and seems to mostly like her in return out of guilt (he never really redeems himself in my opinion and trust me, I don't have much of a criteria for him to get on the good side of the list)...he just ruined the book for me;(
for the heroine: 4 stars
Overall though, 3 stars

I was not expecting to hate the hero of this book, even after reading some of the reviews for it. There were parts that I almost liked him, but most of the time he was a complete ass to Glory. I loved Glory, though!

It would have made a lot more sense for this book to be called Heartless, while Jason and Grace's book was called Fearless. Heartless is a good thing to call Rodrigo Ramirez. Tormented heroes are one thing, heroes that act like complete assholes to their heroine are another thing alto...more

I loved Fearless! Rodrigo was so sexy even when he was infuriating me! Sometimes Ms. Palmer's characters tend to get on my nerves and I have to struggle to care about the relationships that are being created and built but this book reminded me of her earlier works and I found it easy to get sucked into the book :)

I really enjoyed this book and I wasn't expecting too. I love Glory and I think shes wonderful but Roderigo annoyed me sometimes. It was like a broken record saying the same things over and over again. Anyway its a wonderful book and you should all read it and all the other books Diana has written.
Olivia
This one actually comes before "Heartless" but you don't have to read them in order.

I'm actually very unimpressed with Palmer's writing. I love cowboys, and the settings of these books but all the characters are the same and the same things happen in both books.

It's quite boring but well written.

If i could i would just make this book disappear from all shelfs/stores out there. I don't know what DP was thinking writing it. Wasn't there anyone to point out what a horrible storyline it was before publishing it?! Absolutely horrible, the hero not worth calling him one.
Gypsy Wolfe
This book was great! I loved the action and suspence throughout the story and how they both come to realize that neither are who the other thinks they are. I totally recommend this to anyone who loves action/romance with a splash of WHAAAT?!? :D

In 2005-2007 I read so many of Diana Palmer's books. My ex's mom had a lot and that got me hooked. She is an excellent author and I just enjoyed them. Especially the rancher, texas, farmer themes plots and stuff.
Britt
The hero treated the heroine so terribly, that by the end of the book I hated him. When she forgave him and ran back into his arms, I just thought she was weak and stupid. Lame book.
Chiara
Typical Diana Palmer. Loved seeing some old familar Jacobsville faces can't wait to read the book out next month. I have needed some total fluff in the past few days and this fit the bill.
Phade
Rodrigo is the absolute worst a-hole character Diana Palmer has ever created. I love the LTT series.. Ugh I really don't think he could ever do enough to redeem himself!!!
