Typical JB dwama, angst fest. You either like JB and blackmailing alpha male tropes or you don't. I do, so I liked this one.
The heroine, eloise, fell for the H, Marcus, when she was 19 and spent some time with her mother on Greek Island where Marcus was also staying. Circumstances separated them and they next meet when she is 24 and struggling to make her jewelry design businesss a success. In the meantime she was brutally attacked and nearly raped. As a result she is very private except with he...more
I'm not overly fond of Jacqueline Baird and her usually horrible heroes blackmailing the heroines into their beds. But this one wasn't so bad.

Heroine and hero have a summer fling while she's vacationing with her mother. She wants it to be permanent but lots of things happened to pull them apart. Heroine's mother has actually scammed hero's uncle out of money. Now years later the hero finally tracks down the heroine and decides to get revenge because of what happened with his uncle. He blackmails...more
I couldn't bring myself to even care about either the lead characters. I probably would have given up on the book if it wasn't short. I did end up just skimming part of the book. (view spoiler)...more
Wow! Angry alpha Greek tycoon seeks revenge against virginal innocent heroine for defrauding his uncle. Eloise will become his mistress for a year so as to pay her debt but the thing is she had fallen in love with Marcus years ago. How will she guard her heart and how will Marcus react when Eloise's dark secret past comes back to haunt her yet again?

Very good read. Full of drama, angst and sexual tension. Heroine is vulnerable and has an endearing innocence. Marcus is so protective of Eloise so...more
Yet another Greek tycoon blackmails beautiful younger woman into being his mistress, acts like a jerk, and they fall in love. This time she was supposed to have defrauded his uncle (she didn't). Overdone as it is, I seek out this trope. However, this was one of the more forgettable ones.

severely uninteresting. idiot heroine.
Jewelry-designer fell in love with wealthy Greek Hero during her Greece vacation when she was 19. But he was called away on an emergency & that was the last she heard from him. Five years later, heroine sees him again & gives her virginity to him on their 1st date b/c she thought he shared her affections. He didn't contact her for 3 months, when he went away on business. During that time, she sees a magazine photo of him & his sometimes-mistress at a function the day after their love...more
La chica inocente y el hombre malo... los ochenta aún viven. Lo distinto de aquel tiempo es que la chica se convierte en una mujer que ha salido adelante. Él es como todos los griegos de Harlequin...

All I can say is Wow! The angst started early with a does of romance but the ending had me in tears in the best possible way.

This is the types of books E. L. James reads. Enough said.
