White Heat (T-FLAC #11)
by
Cherry Adair (Goodreads Author)
Never have the stakes been higher. Never have two people faced greater risks or grappled with deeper desire. Never has Cherry Adair–award-winning author of Hot Ice–burned the pages with so much blazing action and blistering passion.

Review: Your mission, should you decide to read it, is to have a few hours adrenaline pumped excitement and sizzling romance with the new T-FLAC suspense by Cherry Adair. T-FLAC operative Max Aries returns to Italy at the request of an old lover and because his estranged father death leaves Max with a lot of unanswered questions. Emily Greene is an art restorer and it was Max’s father that took her under his wings to teach her this trade. She met Max a year before through his father and shared s...more
Not as good as the others, but still lots of action and was defintely good.
Professional art restorer Emily Greene is in no mood to see the devil-may-care Max Aries. She hasn’t forgotten–or forgiven–the way Max dropped into her life a year ago, stole her heart, then vanished without a word. Max hadn’t kept in touch with his father, Daniel, either. Daniel Aries had been a master of art restoration and reproduction, and not only Emily’s longtime mentor, but a trusted friend. His unexpected suicide...more

One star is two too many. I couldn't even finish it. There are pages of her wondering if he can be trusted; should she sleep with him; should she have slept with him; can she count on him; she wants her new boyfriend, but even after six months she hasn't slept with him; is she cheating him since she can't care as much as the one she is worrying can she trust; and on and on and on....

White Heat is a followup to Cherry Adair's Hot Ice TFLAC novel and was sexy, fun and dangerous. Big bad TFLAC operative Max Aries tries so hard not to fall for art restorer Emily Greene, but you know the bigger they are the harder they fall. They are thrown together when someone breaks into Emily's home and tries to kill her and Max is there to save her, which is only the beginning of a series of crazy connections that all makes sense in the end and has your heart nearly stopping near the end. An ongoing book about an anti-terrorist group called T-FLAC. Lots of action and romance. You will probably figure out the bad guy before the denouement. I've read all the previous books by Cherry Adair and recommend all of them. If you like Suzanne Brockmann, you will enjoy this author. I do think Suzanne Brockmann is the leader in this genre, however.
This was my first T-FLAC book. I know, I know! What kind of idiot would start with the 11th book in a series?!? Well, see, it's like this: my library had a book sale - I bought it in hardback for 50 cents. How could I pass that up? Then I decided with 700+ books on my TBR list, I didn't have the time or money to buy and read the first 10 books. Now, what I'm wondering is: whereas I thoroughly enjoyed this book and gave it 5 stars, and whereas several people whose reviews I trust implicity gave t...more
This was a different book to read. I love Cherry Adairs work, and usually do not have to read several chapters before catching on to the storyline. Once I got there I could not put it down. A basic good guy out catching the bad guys all his life until he meets that one woman and the strggles that go along with the good against the bad guys. I really like it.
This is another T-Flac book. You will meet Max Aries, who is a T-Flac operative and his former lover, Emily Greene. There’s a lot of action involving Emily who paints replica s of great works of art. You’ve got to read this book and find out what happens! You won’t regret reading it because Max is one hot T-Flac operative.

I haven't been a fan of Adair and thought her T-FLAC books poorly-written despite my being such an action-romance junkie. I decided to buy Hot Ice last year and found it better than the other T-FLAC books so I bought White Heat expecting Adair's latest would be as good, at least. I was wrong and found nothing to hold my attention in White Heat.
Emily was unattractive and Max Aries...well, I really expected much more from a T-FLAC hero. White Heat came across surprisingly amateurish in tone - too...more

Intense suspense - Max Aries is a TFLAC operator whose personal are professional lives has just joined. Emily Greene is an art restorer in Florence and was protege to Max's father. When Daniel Aries dies, Max discovers that his and Emily's art works are being blown up in religious building around the world by the Black Rose terrorist group Max has been hunting. The race is on to prevent further bombings and save Emily's life. A little gory at times with a high body count, but fast paced and well...more
The book starts off with a bang and holds your interest for the duration of the story. The plot is original and although it is slightly unbelievable it is still fun to read. Max Aries is one sexy hunk of man-flesh!
Max and Emily's chemistry and their love scenes did fall a little flat for me. It seemed Emily had to be constantly rescued. I also thought that some of Max's inner monologue regarding Emily was rather cheesy but hey....he's still hot! I wished the situation with Savage had been handl...more

The book of Max Aries and Emily Greene should really be read after Hot Ice. Max is a T-Flac Agent and he is visiting Emily after the many messages she has left on his phone that his father has died. When he gets to her flat he finds her place has been broken into. Emily konks him thinking him the accompliance of the man she has already knocked out. After Crossing Europe to America back to T-Flac Headquarters after many attempts at Emily's life. The Black Rose Terror Cell will finally make things...more
This book is full of action, mystery, art and passion. Emily is an art restorer living in Italy when her mentor is killed and her own life becomes threatened. Her once lover, son of her mentor and secret member of TFLAC, Max, shows up to protect her and figure out what's going on. Emily is reluctant to listen to Max because her heart is still broken from the first time he left her, but ultimately she has to in order to stay alive. In a short time Emily and Max realize that they can no longer den...more
I enjoyed the heck out of this book! This was my first Cherry Adair book and I plan to go back and read her earlier books in this series. Right now, this is her latest in the T-FLAC series.
This book has goos suspense, action, romance, terrorist, secret organization(s), bloody and gory at times, art history and it was funny in places. The author had some great "one liners." "And the party was on."
The book setting is...Italy, a tad in Spain & the United States, too.
Enjoy
