Okay I know the single star is harsh, but this book was weird. I couldn't take it seriously, and yeah it is a Harlequin Romance, but the thing is, there was no romance! It was creepy. Señor de Riano was bizarre, and not someone that I'd be fantasizing about after reading it. It was all very piecemeal, and it seemed like it could have been a much longer story, if the author had given it time and care to cultivate it into something a bit more full bodied.
