This book is more of a how-to book than a regular story. The book is formatted to teach people what he is trying to teach, screenwriting. When I first saw this book, I expected the book to be about someone who was not in a good situation becoming very lucky since the title was "Big Fat Paycheck."

I found this book very helpful and encouraging. The author does not talk as if you already have a big fat paycheck coming in like a lot of writing books. On the contrary he has written for people who don't have a dime to their name. By the end of the first chapter I was ready to start writing my screenplay.
One thing I did not like however was the language he chose to use. This is directed towards children and I really don't think a lot of the words he used were needed.
