A continuation of Carrie's story. I don't know what possessed me to pick up book number two when I didn't care all that much for the first one.
It isn't that the books are poorly written - for the most part the story carries you along and you are anxious to know what happens next BUT these books are for sadists.

Sequel to Carrie's story...
Maybe I would have liked this better if I'd read it in one fell swoop, but as it happened I went away in the middle and so had to pick up the threads when I returned.
POSSIBLE SPOILER!!!
Somehow this one seemed much less convincing than the first, and the terrible "crime" Jonathan commits by giving Carrie a letter as she begins her year of "apprenticeship" is hard to credit. Likewise I felt the sudden turnabout at ...more

From what I remember, both this and Carrie's Story had some hot scenes in them. The stories themselves were a little flat. I remember shaking my head at the idea that Carrie was a grad student. I did like the scene (in Carrie's Story, I think) where she was placed in a horse trailer and driven to a farm. I don't find pony scenes that hot, normally, but here it was exciting.
I don't think this book will be for everybody. And not because of the content-that should be clear one way or the other to you. It switches POV and tense. But it's done well and very clearly. I didn't have any problems following it.
Not quite as entertaining to me as Carrie's story but I still enjoyed it. 3.5 stars if I could.

In the follow-up to Carrie's Story, we pick up with Carrie the intellectual, wise ass, submissive after her sale to the rich Greek shipping magnate. It's as good as the first one; Carrie's still both utterly self-aware and totally entranced with the world of excessively rich perverts she finds herself in. We also learn more about Jonathan, the guy who introduced her to kink and the man who hopes to own her.

A continuation of Carrie's Story told from both Carrie and Jonathan's point of view. The changing perspective was well handled and each voice was heard distinctly.
Erotic, plenty of pony-training play. Satisfying little story and a good follow-up to Carrie's Story.
Didn't quite live up to the original, but well worth picking up.
