Atrocious Grammar, Beautiful Book: I am a web developer and purchased this book with a few others to sample the current design trends and to find inspiration for new design layouts. Quite simply, this book serves both purposes much more completely than I had anticipated.

This book provides a decent number of examples of good website design - particularly for websites featuring portfolios of photographs, illustration, product designs, etc. Some examples are truly stunning and well worth bookmarking and exploring in detail later; others less so (to the point where it's not clear why they were selected to be included in the first place). Despite being published in 2005 it still feels quite current. My main criticism would be that it's too European in focus and thus...more
