Brian loves his mistress and wants her to be his wife but she won't marry him. Enter Brian's dad and his manipulative wife. Add in an old neighbor, a priest, transvestite uncle, a woman/man friend, a submissive, a master, a submissive, a...... oh never mind.

So... Yeah.. Umm.. What to write.. How to review..

First of all... Fuck! No!

I have no clue what to write here..

This is the first part, so I dont have the ending yet, but everyone can figure out who's going to get a HEA..

Ok.. Fuck.. I dont know what to say!

There are SO(!!!!) many things in this book, that are just wrong.. And I mean Wrong with a capital W! Maybe the author sat down one day and thought: Hmm.. So if I could write a book with every. single. kink. out there, how would...more

Remember those old prime time soaps like Dynasty, Dallas, Knots Landing? That's the best way I can describe these books. I'm reviewing them both together because there's no way you can read one without the other. As a matter of fact, one ends practically mid-sentence! It's not a cliff, it's a 'wait, hold up, where the F are you going?'. Season 2 even starts with Chapter 29. Anyhoo back to the description, so in those soaps they were choc-a-bloc with archetypal characters-you had the rich billion...more Remember those old prime time soaps like Dynasty, Dallas, Knots Landing? Anyhoo back to the description, so in those soaps they were choc-a-bloc with archetypal characters-you had the rich billionaire head of the family, the gay brother, the bad wife, the good wife (in this case Mistress), troubled son, out of control daughter blah, blah, blah you get the picture. That's these books!

The writing is not bad per se-choppy; jumps from POV to POV sometimes even mid-paragraph. Maybe the intent was to be a screenplay originally? I find it amusing, perhaps a little ironic that they're entitled Season 1 & 2. The writing is a little overly dramatic at times but it seems in keeping with the overall melodramatics consistent throughout. It's quite meandering at times & I found myself skimming at times. It can also be repetitive.

I would attempt to give a synopsis of these but…it'd take too long & quite frankly I would probably do a piss poor job of it. Suffice to say, the Abernathy clan are a hot mess. I will say the basic premise of the books is a little flimsy; the gist is the Mistress & Mouse have been together 10 yrs at the onset of the book, the last 5 of which Mouse has been trying unsuccessfully to get her to marry him; they have a fight, he tells her he's getting married in 6 mos time with or without her, other events ensue & they don't talk for basically 6 mos. At all. But they're running in the same circles the whole time & become increasingly interwoven into one another's lives. IDK it just read a little dubious to me.

There's so many taboo subjects in these things I lost count. Apparently, the author thought nothing of tackling some pretty forbidden topics & must've gotten on a roll. BDSM in it runs the gamut from age play, fire play, electroplay, loads of bondage & discipline to water sports. There were some toys/tools used that I had to Google & one of them the first hit on Google was Lowe's O_O! Ummmm….handy but EEP! There's some equipment in these dungeons that bends the mind. Obviously this author has some pretty serious experience in BDSM to come up with some of this. Possibly in a TMI vein…this thing reads like a 1970s anthem on free love-there's not a peep about using a condom & trust me these people get it on with any number of different people (sometimes in a group), in every available orifice on the regular! There aren't any blue balls for the Abernathy's or any of their friends! (less)
