In the beginning, there were six creators. They created a world with 6 separate beings…Daemons, Faeires, Dwarfs, Umbrokor, Witches and Human. The creators lived with their creations until Tynan, the creator of the umbrokor started turning the world inhabitants against each other. Humans, as the weakest of all the beings, took the brunt of the attacks. War broke out and the creators decided to create a new world for just humans and then they closed themselves away from the rest of their old world ...more

I am completely bias, obviously, but I hope people enjoy reading my book as much as I enjoyed writing it! :-)

I want to start off by saying that I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Overall I really enjoyed this book. There were parts where I wasn't too impressed with and others that left me shaking my head, and yet I was practically laughing out loud throughout most of the book and I wanted to know what happened, and the goods definitely outweighed the bads, (or not so goods), in the end. The ending of this book leaves you wanting more, that is for sure. I really want to read

Beautifully written, this story draws you in, and the heroine makes a seamless transition between modern day America and another world. Peril, romance, baddies, magic, stunning settings, this story just about has it all. Looking forward to the next book, although this book has a definite conclusion, there is plenty of scope to explore this world further.

A rocky start, but this book quickly pulls it out and becomes really quite something. Morris turns the "girl in another land" genre, if not on its head, at least in a solid 90 degree angle.

The Pull is Brooke Morris’ debut novel. It is a young adult fantasy following the main character, Maggie, who discovers that she is half faerie and half demon whose mother escaped from the Old World and into the New. Maggie is at her happiest when hiking and enjoying the forests and yet, in her dreams, she slowly watches forests dry up and wither away. But as she finds out more about who she is will she be able to save her Old World from dying? Whilst in the meantime she discovers that as a ...more

My Short Summary: The Pull was a young adult fantasy novel that followed Maggie through her discovery of the Old World – where creatures she never knew existed live. The story started off with how the six different gods and goddesses created the world. After they created life, those creatures soon fought against each other. Since man was at a disadvantage, the gods/goddesses created a whole new world for them only – sealing of the Old World with the other beings inside. Maggie entered this world ...more

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I thought the book was a bit slow in the beginning but then it picked up the pace and I really started to enjoy the story.
I liked the characters, even though they're far from perfect, you start to care for them. Maggie is a good character, a teenage girl that you could describe as a little crazy (with anger issues!) but she's also clever, strong and witty. I did have a problem with Andrew in the beginning... I maybe started to like

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this book. I found the story flowed well. Though it ended as an obvious first in a series, the ending left me wanting to read the next book. I enjoyed the character of Maggie. I especially enjoyed the very real dreams Maggie had and trying to figure out if her dreams were real or not. As the book continues, Maggie's character development began to grow on me. I did find myself laughing out loud at some parts that I am sure

I want to start off by saying that I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this book, at first I wasn't so in love with it, it started off slow. However when things started to develop romantically with Andrew and Maggie I got sucked in big time. I felt the characters were realistic even though it was literally out of this world. The descriptions were great and I felt it was playing out in my mind. I would recommend it. I couldn't put it down after things started

I was given this book to write an honest review.
I think the author did a brilliant job with this book.
I found it packed with action, love and intrigue . This book gripped my attention a held it throughout.
The characters were well written and likable. I found Andrew difficult to judge at times, very unpredictable and Maggie was an excellent heroine.
Great job! Thanks for the opportunity to read & review.

To begin with I found things a bit hard to get into but once I really got going I couldn't put it down. I think the extracts from Andrew's point of view are really effective and really hope this is a series in the making. Also the possibility for some short stories from the ones she left behind in the new world?
