I use this book to talk to kids in subtle ways about self-esteem and not always listening to what other kids have to say about them. Some of my kids "get it" more than others. It's a good book for the younger set.

Great to pair with "Do Your Ears Hang Low". Love the message that who cares what others say about how we look.

One day at the park Otis the dog gets called "big ears" by another passing dog. He is mortified, and tries everything to hide his big ears.
Good for any puppy/child who is self-consious, or nervous about their appearance. In the end Otis learns that his big floppy ears are one of his owners favorite parts!

An unexpectedly sweet story about a dog who learns to love his ears (even if they are slightly over-sized). A solid story for preschoolers about loving yourself -- including the parts that may not be perfect.

Otis deals with a bully dog at the park. Another amazing picture book in which the illustrations speak more than the words themselves!
