In most ways, Oberon is typical of many of the small towns that dot California's central coast. Clinging to sheer, corrugated cliffs above a windswept strand of pale, golden sand, it is wreathed in fog for most of the summer months. But what Oberon lacks in glitz, glamour, and the endless sunshine boasted by its neighbors to the south, it more than makes up for with magick

3rd Review for May

Rating: 4 stars

Scout – also known as Jen – has her life turned upside down in her teens: her dad is dead, her friends betrayed her, her step-sister is missing and she is being shipped off to Florida, leaving behind Nick, the one guy she truly loved.

The story starts twenty years later where she returns to Oberon to tidy up her inheritance from her recently deceased step-mother – the same step-mother who sent

WOW.... By far one of my favorite books I've read recently!
Scout is returning home to Oberon after 20 years. Her step mother no longer wanted her, her step sister ran away and has never been found and those she considered friends had been using her. Why on earth would she willingly go back to a place that caused her so many poor memories yet she is determined to solve her step sisters disappearance.

This book is a roller coaster of emotions, twists and turns in every chapter and so much suspense

If you have friends like Scout you don't need no enemies. When she was young she was used with a carelessness and selfish cruelty, it made me so very mad - and the worst thing is that she gets all the blame, even years later, even by those very same friends that should know better.... I felt for Scout. I cried for her. And I hoped she'd be redeemed, she'd find a way to happiness. But it very much seemed like that 's impossible for her. Twist after twist and all of them absolutely believable, not ...more

Wow, I really enjoyed this book.
Scent of Roses was an intriguing mystery complete with long-lost loves, twists I didn't expect, mysticism, murder, and great multi-layered characters (including a hunky cop) set in a magical small town. What's not to love?

The relationship between the three woman who had disliked one another for twenty years but now have to work together to solve the mystery was brilliant. And he way the past events entwined with the present were masterful. I would love to read mor

Unconventional Love Stories. Unconditional Love.

PG Forte inhabits a world only slightly less strange than the ones she creates. Filled with serendipity, coincidence, love at first sight and dreams come true, it also bears a sometimes uncanny resemblance to Berkeley, California.

Originally a Jersey girl, PG now resides with her family on the extreme left coast where she writes rule bending, genre bl
