Who doesn't love DK books? They are the most gorgeously illustrated non-fiction books around. This one was great for me--I am obsessed with baseball and trying to learn as much as possible (no easy feat) and this is a great introduction. Filled with beautiful photos and chronicling some of the many amazing moments in baseball's long history, this book was just so much fun to read. This is a beautiful book that chronicles the history of baseball. The book is well done. The problem I have is that most of this book is well-known history. Anyone familiar with the game can skip this offering as you will not glean much new. For someone wanting to learn about the game, yes, this is as good as any place to begin.
It's all about history and great players of Baseball. Great!
