I enjoyed reading this book - took me about an hour. Lots of information and anecdotes about Amish/Mennonite life and the place of quilting in it. Some black and white pictures of quilts, along w/ black and white pictures of various scenes of the "plain" life, showing what might have influenced the development of the quilt patchwork patterns. No images og the actual quilting patterns, the stitched paterns that hold the three layeers of the quilt together. A good book for life-style; not swo much ...more
