Finally, I'm done reading this one. I did not like how it was set up. When they say ABC's of writing fiction, they really do mean ABC's. Arranging writing-related topics in an alphabetical dictionary of instruction SOUNDS like a good idea. It is NOT a good idea. Unless I have a specific point I'm interested in (i.e. plot; beginning; conclusion, etc.) this is a very tedious way to get tips on writing well. This book is a neccessary tool for writing fiction. I think by putting the book in alphabetic form, the author was able to focus on every sub-topic within writing fiction. Basically you would be able to look up a tip in writing like it was a dictionary. personally, I think the book deserves no less than five stars because of the depth that the author reached.
