The forest animals are grumpy because they've been woken up by an irritating peeping noise. Where's it coming from? One by one the animals head toward the noise and discover that waking up and looking around is not as irritating as they thought.

I am always amazed when those spring peepers start to sing. I did not know what they were until I moved to N. KY. It is definitely a sign that spring is here and they can get quite loud. Very cute book.
