Having heard Dr. Robert Smith lecture, and then reading this book, I found it to be as fascinating as his lectures. In fact, it is a textbook that seems to follow his lectures, in my opinion. Yet, it is not so academic that it becomes a chore to read and understand. The information contained within the book helps one to put the Bible into perspective.
