Excellent collection of writings on Tod Browning's work, which examines his development as a filmmaker and offers interesting insights to some of his best-known work. My main complaint is that the actual written content of the book is a little under 200 pages-- greedy, I know, but I was definitely left wanting more! However, the book is generously illustrated and I do genuinely feel like I learned a lot about Browning and his films, so that's definitely a minor complaint-- unless you're shelli...more
