3.75 Stars This was a a very interesting story, that at first confused me. I did a little research online and discovered this is a Jewish Folktale!

The pictures aren't my taste but I think they are good!

Ms. White's art style isn't for me, but I can't stop thinking about this book. Tooinsky does an amazing job retelling a Hassidic folktale, with a quiet grace that really moved me. He connects the young prince's strange behavior with the stress of his life. The delicate, healing relationship between the prince and the stranger is so deep. There are events which could be (correctly) quite funny, but where I felt more connected to the underlying emotion than the humor - and I wondered if my son wou ...more
