In the opening pages of Charles Hulse’s In Tall Cotton the Woods family suffers a severe tragedy. If you like novels of the deep south in the US particularly around the Great Depression then you will like this book. A very clear insight into the day to day living of people caught up - through no fault of their own - in the Depression and how they ...more
