This is a fairy tale about a boy who becomes friends with a monster. Its good to have if you are talking about courage.

Look beyond the use of old-fashioned words, like "crippled," and you will be taken by this sweet story about a good boy.

just awful.

When I first read this, I got this weird impression that it was written by a youngster. Maybe a third or fourth grader who was advance for their age and got a book published. Even the name "snoogle-fleejer" sounds like something a kid made up. Imagine my SHOCK when I realized that President Jimmy Carter wrote the book! OH MY GOSH.
