Recommends it for: fairy tale lovers and parents who want to introduce their kids to fairy tales
What an enjoyable quick audiobook! A nice mix of short fairy tales from the Grimms' collection. I haven't read any of these particular stories, although I am familiar with plot devices and archetypes from more than a few of them. The narrator was great. She brought these stories to life. There is also classical music to accompany parts of the stories. I could see this audiobook being very good for kids to expose them to fairy tales. children's audio/grimm fairytales. Though Laura Paton's narration was great, the tales themselves are rather lackluster, and I wouldn't expect this to hold the attention of an actual child (though probably fine for adults who are into these sort of audio tales).
Jacob Ludwig Karl Grimm, German philologist, jurist and mythologist, was born at Hanau, in Hesse-Kassel (or Hesse-Cassel).
