Different perspective of London than I've read before. Well-written. Interesting to read about her going from post-war demob, wanting to find a career and get on with things, to marrying and having children but still really hoping to pick up her career as a social worker [almoner] again. Really enjoyed her thoughts on social reform and descriptions of London and life at the time ('46 to '54).
