In this beautiful and moving story of love, growth, and redemption among the stunning red rocks of Sedona, Arizona, Sydney—a teenaged Army orphan—discovers that love knows no bounds and life has many twists and turns of fate. After she is forced to move in with her late mother’s sister Blanche and Blanche’s abusive alcoholic husband Dean, Sidney finds purpose and friendship in Lexy, the daughter of Max Heller the City’s most prominent widower and business magnate. Unknowingly, the girls’ antics awaken Blanche’s lost and suppressed passions and stirs Max’s long-thwarted drive to build a loving and complete family. What emerges is the wonderfully successful Epicurian Café, the brainchild of Blanche and Sydney actively encouraged by Max and Lexy. The Café quickly becomes a center of the community, the start of a new life for Blanche and Sydney, and a chance for Max and Lexy to discover true love and the meaning of commitment. An emotional roller-coaster with its exciting twists and turns, Wildflower is an exhilarating and satisfying read

I received a copy of this by the Author in return for an honest review. I am under no obligation to give anything other than my honest opinion.

My Rating for this is 4 Stars.

Wildflower is an inspiring book about growing, learning, and love. It tells the story of a young girl who loses her father and must move back to the States with her aunt and uncle where she must find her place in this new life, a life that she did not expect to have to live. Sydney goes from knowing what love is from a wonderful father to being treated like a burden by her uncle who wishes she was not living in his home and in his daughter's room (he lost his daughter at a young age). Sydney must endure watching her aunt being treated badly as well as suffer her own abuse.

Sydney finds solace in her new friend Lexy, who has a very different background than Sydney. Lexy has had her own set of troubles. When she loses her mother, her aunt steps in as the mother figure for her and as her father’s lover. Then, her aunt leaves her and her father to take care of each other. Lexy does all that she can to protect her father from gold diggers, and she loves to play pranks on the potential women in her father’s life. Lexy and Sydney form a bond and friendship that helps both of them through the tough times in their lives.

This book also tells of Sydney’s aunt and the hard times that she goes through with her husband and losing her job. Blanche (Sydney’s aunt) has to deal with the brunt of her husband’s abuse and the fact that he does not believe in her dreams. Then, Blanche meets Max (Lexy’s father) and re-learns what it mean to love and this reignites a passion inside her. When she loses her job, Max believes in her and helps her follow her dreams.

If like many of us you are looking for encouragement to be yourself and for motivation to follow your dreams, regardless of what life throws at you, then this book will deliver!! It is an honest and real book that you can relate to and truly enjoy. I hope that anyone that reads this book can gain something from it and follow their dreams.

Wildflower
This book is a sweet romance with many twists and an unexpected ending. Max Heller the most rich and prominent figure from the town of Sedona has to deal with his rebellious daughter, Lexy, who just chases away every single woman who tried to get close to her father. He is a widow after Lexy's mother died giving birth and he tries to find a woman to appreciate his kindred nature and not his money. When he found a local woman who has her own difficulties with her drunken husband he thought he had finally found the woman who he had been looking for so long but then suddenly another lover from his past came back. Max finds himself in a very difficult position, not wanting to hurt any of them and also not knowing which one he really wants.
The author incorporates themes of social classes prejudices rooted in a small community daily life with gossips spread all over the place.

Wildflower is a thoughtful exploration of difficult issues such as friendship, love, emotional resonance, and faces people with difficult choices.

Will Max choose wisely or will he follow his heart? This was the question which kept me turning the pages and Alexandra Forry knows how to keep reader’s attention and curiosity alive.

When Sydney’s father died, she is sent to live with her Aunt Blanche and Uncle Dean in Sedona. Even though she loves living there, she is targeted by the school bully, and also her uncle is an abusive alcoholic. She then meets Lexy, billionaire Max Heller’s daughter, and they become best friends. When Sydney’s aunt accidentally meets Lexy’s dad, they totally hit it off. As Sydney and Lexy match wits with the school bully, Blanche and Max come to terms with their forbidden relationship.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It made me feel like Sydney and Blanche were part of my own family. Even under their circumstances, they still thrived. I caught myself pulling for the forbidden relationship. Even though it was wrong, it was so right. I didn’t understand the ending though. It was like everything was left up in the air. I hope that it means another book is coming, because that’s the only answer for it to end that way.

Wild Flowers by Alexandra Forry was a great read. I liked the basic plot of the story. It is easy to judge someone for staying in an abusive relationship. This is the case for Sydney. She cannot understand why her aunt stays with a man that makes them both miserable. She is new to this town so she has no friends in the beginning.
Sydney soon makes a friend and they couldn’t be more different, but the one thing they have in common is loneliness. Sydney is poor where Lexy’s father is a billionaire. They forge a bond (and pull some pranks) that cannot be broken.
There are some surprised, but they are mild. While I enjoyed the plotline, parts of the dialogue seemed really stilted. I give this book 4 **** because it was a fun read and I do enjoy an HEA.

Sydney, 15, is sent to live with her aunt after her father is killed. Her mother died when she was young.

Her aunt, Blanche, welcomes her with open arms but her uncle, Dean, is another story. He is an abusive alcoholic who makes life miserable for everyone.

Sydney eventually makes a new friend, Lexy, who just happens to be the only daughter of a widowed millionaire, Max Heller.

The girls are constantly pulling stunts to get rid of Max's bimbos and anything else they can think of for fun. They try setting Max up with someone older but it backfires when Max falls for Aunt Blanche.

The story was very good but the dialogue was stilted. Definitely not how teenagers would talk!
I enjoyed the characters and would definitely give this author another chance.
