I was concerned that the first part of the book, while interesting and full of information, was very dry and seemed to follow a theme of describing a place, then listing the birds in it, then describing another place, then listing the birds in it... The second half of the book, while still not as engaging as I would hope, was far better, giving information in a more readable way.

A worthwhile read with some very good information to be found in its pages, but I found it took a lot of persistence
