Overall this is a good book on how to put together skirts. There's a lot of basic info, guidance and direction. However, it is completely based on using a pattern and following the book along with the pattern instructions. This is good for anyone new to sewing, learning how to use patterns, or just looking for a little inspiration. If you're looking for patterns then you'll be a bit disappointed.
This didn't really teach the reader anything new. From what I could gather the patterns that were selected (of which no information was given) were not embellished at all, which is what it advertises itself as. Sew What Skirts is a far better book for this kind of thing.
Great for the beginning seamstress. Walks you through sewing a skirt using your favorite patterns and customizing it to suit your needs.
There is one skirts in here that I really like and want to try and imitate. I wish the pattern that was used was available.
good idea book, but you have to use your own patterns to make the skirts.
It wasn't really what I was expecting. It is probably a great book for someone who has never sewn or someone who appreciates extra assurances in their sewing. I, however, felt like I already knew most of what was being offered as information or help.
This book doesn't actually have patterns in it, just suggestions for alterations to bought patterns, which I thought was a little misleading.
Some interesting skirt ideas, but I don't think I'll be making anything out of here.
