Adolfo Bioy Casares explores in Historias de amor the theme of love within these stories that, among others, tells us of the suffering of a man that looses without gaining what he wished for; the survival of a woman in the memory of two rivals; the strangeness of first encounters; a phrase that ruins a situation long waited for; or hibernation of two lovers that reconcile a hundred years later.

A beautiful short-stories collection by this great Argentinean writer!
