This was a very fun read, it was an adventure and also had some bilingual properties, as it is set in France. This picture book has little color, all black and white with some red and blue but the story is so good that the lack of color was basically unnoticed. I think this would be a great book to have in my future classroom!

Anatole the mouse rescues his dear friend Juliette, a pregnant poodle who was kidnapped. Fantastic illustrations by Paul Galdone.

Very cute story of the brave Anatole, a beautiful poodle, and a midnight rescue. Out of print, but worth buying if you can find it.
