Jane Goodall was a girl who wasn't like many others. She wanted to go to Africa and learn about chimpanzees. She gets the opportunity and goes. The twists are fascinating and the facts are true.

I honestly didn't enjoy this book as much as others. The details were sometimes way over the top and some of the stories weren't written well. Other than that I enjoyed learning about her.

I recommend this book to those who like chimpanzees and those who like to learn about people in Africa helping out chi
This was like icing on top of the cake! I'm sure there is so much more to read about Jane Goodall and the things she did, but this book was a quick, fun read that gives you the short and sweet version. I really enjoyed it and am so happy to have learned more about this great woman. She has done and continues to do so much good in her life.

While the content was interesting, the writing was poor and the amount of detail was too much. The personal stories were great, but they were written as if by a 5th grader. Yes, I know this was written for young adults, but I read plenty of YA books and they're written to a higher quality.
I adore and admire Dr. Goodall.

Very good read. Fast paced and full of useful info. This will steer me toward Jane's book In the Shadow of Man. I really like how it balanced the personal info, the fundraising/philanthropy and groundbreaking primatology.

I learned a lot I didn't know previously, especially regarding Jane's personal life. I wonder how the author got the info. Would be nice to hear that story as well.
really good book, but i thought that the author sorta skipped around a lot... otherwise it was a really good book. i liked it a lot :P
