'Rappaccini’s Crow' by Cat Rambo references the classic story of 'Rappaccini’s Daughter.' which I never read.

'Crossroads and Gateways' by Helen Marshall was not for me. A tale inspired by African folk tales, it tells the story of an afterlife. The writing was beautiful, but the whole tale felt a bit disjointed.

Rappacvibi's Crow started slow but finished interesting enough. The later story just didn't jump out at me.
