Intentionality is a hot topic in the philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, and metaphysics. Intentionality is basically "a mental state whereby it is 'directed towards' an object of some kind." (5), though Priest himself admits that it is much more difficult than this. This work is a clever defense of noneism, the view that one can have meaningful intentional states directed towards non-existent (even impossible!) objects.
