When teen sidekicks are done well they are an exaggeration of their hero, making the whole comic more vibrant but just as honest. Tim Drake's Robin is apprentice to the world's greatest detective, making him easily one of the three most analytical people in the DC Universe. This mini deals mostly with fallout from the Amazons Attack event, which means that it seems designed to take all of the things I normally love in comics characterization and somehow make them terribly uninteresting. I wanted more of Cassie dealing with sending her mother into hiding, Cassie going out for coffee with her friends, Cassie confronting protesters in the field as Wonder Girl. I don't generally read the Teen Titans, so I'm reading this from the perspective of somebody who is just trying it out to see if I like it. Essentially, they did a pretty good job of making this a self-contained story within a larger story line. There have obviously been some big shakeups in this world lately, but those issues are distilled and encapsulated quickly as necessary during this mini. Kinda fun, but I suspect you need to know a bit more about all the characters histories to truely enjoy it. There's definite potential for a series about Cassie, wonder girl. This time she teams up with Hercules.
