If you enjoyed the original Eloise I feel fairly certain you will love this one. I enjoyed even a tiny bit more! It's really surprising to discover that this was published recently because it captures all of the original character and feel of the original. Eloise is just as exasperating and lovable as ever. The text is completely delightful to read aloud and requires an exuberant reader with a flair for accents. And I think the illustrations are even better than ever - hysterical and detailed an...more
The Eloise books are about a bright, loquacious, mischievous, imaginative 6 year old girl who lives at the Plaza Hotel in New York. This book was published long after the other Eloise books and it’s probably my favorite of the bunch. Really fun to read to little girls and I still enjoy it. Charming and witty.
We've read several books featuring the rascally Eloise. Our girls like them and they are somewhat humorous, but on the whole, they just make me sad. This poor little rich girl...
This story seemed a bit disjointed and the drips and leaks didn't make all that much sense, but it was still an entertaining tale. The illustrations are just as busy and detailed as we've come to expect with this series. We enjoyed reading this book together.

Like Eloise in Paris, this is sooooo not Eloise! Yes, Hilary Knight's pictures are perfect, but the story is all all alllllllll wrong. These are a parody of the original, and not a very good one at that. It is like when someone tries to make fun of Dr. Seuss by just being really irritating and rhymey (think some of those old e-mail memes from about a decade ago). Just not entertaining, not charming, simply awful, although this plot is a bit tighter and more clever than the Paris book.
My four-year-old son absolutely loved this book and launched into a very long story of his own about taking a "bawth" and flooding the bathroom after we finished.
Eloise has such a personality and such an imagination. I'm not a huge fan of Thompson's writing style (and there were a couple of phrases that we don't say at our house and I had to edit out), but this book is so amazingly creative and fun that I can't help but like it.

I'm not a fan of the lack of punctuation, but the illustrations are great. The 3 year-old I nanny for kept asking me to skip pages because it was too long for her, but her 5 year-old sister kept begging for more time on each page. I'd say it's a perfect read for 5+ or anyone who truly enjoys bawths.
All these series of Eloise are charming and witty. This are mostly pertaining to the girls. Eloise is a very imaginative character with a fun personality! This book is great for kindergartens because taking a bath is a fun time for them, especially if the water begins to overflow. It's connectable and the laughter is contagious for everyone who reads it.
delightful!
this book is created for fourty years! imagine that!
but kay thompson's character of eloise is very much loveable even tho' she is a veryvery spoiled little 6 years old.
in her adventure while taking her bawth, eloise makes the reader rawther hysteric with laughter while she makes The Plaza drowned and Mr. Salomone is rawther stern with her.
Eloise is enchanting and seems to have the luckiest streak ever!

This book is really cute and growing up I just adored the orginal "Eloise." My daughter just loves this story and I am planning on reading it to her 2nd grade class next week at school.
