More insights on life and being from the group of souls who collectively call themselves Abraham.

Their take on these topics is a radical departure from the usual, and that's good. I especially like their views on selfishness, and how those who decry selfishness the longest and loudest are too often the very ones who are being the most selfish.

I'd give this book five stars for the importance of its teachings except for one little item. The authors still do not explain clearly the origins of what...more

This was a good book about what all already fundamentally know. For me, these books are always good spritual reminders, which do precisely what I want them to do. That is, put me in the now, and in a positive place.

Some of my favorite take-aways:
"[T:]here is powerful value in abandoning any thoughts that do not feel good when you think them."

"Before things actually manifest, your proof of alignment comes in the form of positive, good-feeling emotion; and if you understand that, then you will be...more

This self-help book focuses on improving life in the areas of finances and health. The premise of the Law of Attraction is that what you get in life is a result of your habitual thinking and emotions; that the “vibe” that you put out determines what you will attract into your experience. Bettering your thoughts, emotions, and “vibe” will better your life experience, not only in what you experience internally, but also in what you receive from life.

A major theme of this book is the difference bet...more

Keep in mind the disclaimer on the copyright page that reads, "The authors of this book do not dispense medical advice or prescribe the use of any technique as a form of treatment for physical, emotional, or medical problems without the advice of a physician, either directly or indirectly." It's important, considering a segment of this book is about physical health. It's interesting to me, because if we had regulation around careers and money, there would also be disclaimers about those. Through...more

Money, and the law of attraction : learning to attract wealth, health and happiness

pg. 5- no one ever has or ever could have prevented your success - or provided it. Your success is all up to you. It is all in your control. ... Whatever I can desire, I can achieve.

Pg. 6- when you give the credits or the blame to another for tour success or lack of it - you are powerless to make any change.

Pg. 10- when you remember that you get the essence of what you think about - and then you notice what you ar...more

Yet another fabulous guide from Abraham-Hicks! I am still keeping "Ask & It Is Given" as my all time favorite, but this is a definite close second! Far less about "money" than you would expect from the title, but that was fine by me. My favorite sections were the ones about health and career.

"Choose a better-feeling thought." That was primarily the message of this book, with lots of examples of what better feeling thoughts might be in any given scenario. Constant reminders to practice ease and creating greater ease in your life reminded me of _Total Immersion Swimming_ (practice pleasure and never practice struggle, if your swimming feels like work you are not doing it right, & practicing (repeating) creates a neural pathway.)
Abraham is saying that your feelings/emotions are yo...more

I have not read the Secret but always wanted to but couldn't get myself to buy it because then my masculinity may have been in question (what nonsense)...also, the Secret was more of a mass production and perhaps because of this I have hesitated to buy it as I try not to go with what "everyone is buying into".

While coming back from a trip to the Phillipines, I stumbled upon this book at the Manila airport. I thought, "well it's not the Secret, but it sounds like it and it's much cheaper". I tho...more

Great wisdom for changing times..."if you want your fortunes to shift you have to begin telling a different story. You must change your point of attraction." You need to understand why you are unique and then sell your uniqueness. With so many people out of work in this deep recession, Ester and Jerry Hicks offer a competitive solution "Do not write your story like a factual documentary, weighting all the pros and cons of your experience, but instead tell the uplifting, fanciful, magical story o...more

Good book. Lots of info in here. There is a lot of repetition though. Although the whole point is to constantly repeat what you have learned to achieve a new mind set of abundance.

this is one of many books about the law of attraction. the philosophy behind this natural "law" is that if you are positive, think positively, act positively, positive things will be attracted to you. in this specific book, the focus is on financial wealth.

parts of this book get me thinking. maybe i do need to be more positive. maybe this book can help me become more aware and in-the-moment so that when i am being negative, i can pinpoint it and try to reverse it. maybe this will help me have a...more

seemed like 3 books about the same thing in one book with 3 different topics. In other words, what was said about money was also said about Health and then repeated about about happiness.
I did gain a few things I've added to my affirmation statements about money to help me change the way I am thinking about money. My affirmation statements are statements I say infront of the mirror to help me focus on my goals of what I want to be, do and have. The book offered some very powerful statements to r...more

I do like this book, though the focus on money is a little annoying, especially since the authors got rich promoting this concept, then attribute it to the concept itself. Still, its an encouraging book and I believe the law of attraction does work--I've used it to increase my income this year by a long shot--and more. (You can read those stories at www.storiesandtruth.com if you like.)

Excellent book! Has the same theory of what I have always believed since I was a child. I have seen things; experienced things, and belive that the mind is a very powerful thing that we are in our infant stage of knowing (scientifically) how our brain/mind works; and that we don't give ourselves credit enough about "gut feelings" and "knowing" and the fact that positive thinking (in a easy way to look at it) and looking for the "joy" in life is what life is actually(in a small scale what life is...more

Definitely a book that I will look back on and say this book played a pivotal role in transforming my life. It combines many of the philosophies on spirituality out there I've read and rolls them into one comprehensive, easy to follow work. I really loved this book and will definitely be reading it again. I recommend it to everyone who wants to attract more of what they want in life and less of what they don't want.

Every time I open one of Abraham-Hicks' works--be it a book, CD, online video, inspirational email, or card set, I am blessed with joy and peace and abundance and love and well... "You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?" Matthew 7:16

In spite of the title--which uses that big attention-grabber, "Money" as its opening word--this book is a comprehensive look at how we can bring abundance to our lives in several areas. Yes, mon...more

I have studied the Law of Attraction for a few years now, and I was drawn to this book at a Mind, Body and Spirit fair I attended. Once I started reading it I was hooked, and everything really made sense. If you have an open mind to the idea of manifestation by intent, then this book is for you.

A good reminder if you've read "ask and it is given". I found it best to read a chapter here and there, and it doesn't have to be read start to finish. The title is a bit misleading - it's not so much about money, the book has more depth than the title suggests.

This book has made me make more effort to think positively and imagine myself having a more abundant life. There are great affirmations and insights. However, being the first of these kind of books I've read, I'm finding much of it hard to swallow.

Haven't gotten to the money part yet but have learned an interesting and simple way to turn from negative thoughts pattern to a more positive way. Changes what would be a bad day into an enjoyable one.

This is the first book I read by Jerry and Ester Hicks and Abraham. I found it an amazing help. After only six months of reading it money started flowing in and has become more and more since.

If you can get past the dubious nature of the source there's some VERY deep stuff in there and some particularly healthy life attitudes and principles that we certainly don't hear enough of.

I found this book helpful. Did it make me rich? Well no. Did it help me see that my negative attitude towards money was a problem? Yes. So in that way it did help.

I've slowed down on this book recently, but need to pick it up again. The law of attraction makes me feel more in control of my life.
