The start and end dates are a bit of lie. I never read a book of poetry form beginning to end like a novel. I bought this book because over the past five or six years I began focusing on Catholic writers of all genres. I'm not an expert on poetry and so I can't comment on structure or give comparisons to the few poets I know. However, like reading the psalms or the canticles there is something so beautiful about this book. I find myself reading one poem at night and then rereading the same one. ...more
