This is a lighthearted, fun, and sexy read. Yes, some of the stories are silly and exaggerated, but I think that's the point! You should be able to tell by the title and the book jacket that the authors were not shooting for a Pulitzer Prize here. They were having some fun, and I appreciate that they shared their talent and their humor. This would be a great book to read after completing a really serious novel. I guess I'd call it literary candy.

I was surprised by how quickly I read this book, but given an anthology of fun stories with quirky superheroes, I really shouldn't be.

The reason this has 3 stars instead of 4 is a matter of personal taste. I enjoy homoerotica that is more relationship-based and has a slower build-up than can be fit into short stories of the length in this book. Also, most of the stories in this anthology were written in a very "masculine" style, and contained slews of anatomy euphemisms that were off-putting bec...more

When I saw this anthology in the airport bookstore during a layover, I simply couldn't resist, even if it did embarrass my husband to be sitting next to me on the plane while I was reading it. Unmasked: Erotic Tales of Gay Superheroes is a smutty collection that naturally focuses more on sex than on plot or character development, but which doesn't sacrifice fun in the p...more

Only one good story (Kiernan Kelly's) and a couple that were halfway decent. Some of the stories and their writing were terrible, not to mention uninteresting. Ryan Field gets a special mention: straight out porn with a superhero whose power is to give great sex who goes on to become part of the porn industry. Is this even in the right anthology?

This book was a "good, bad, and the ugly" read for me. My favorites:

Tights by DesertMac
