The story of St. Tekla Haymanot, a saint of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church illustrated with copies of an 18th century manuscript. The illustrations are captioned to describe the essentials of ethiopian iconography. If you are interested in Ethiopian culture and history you will like this book. It is suitable for older children and adults.
I purchased this book to read to my first child when she was about two years old. She is now twenty-nine and my copy of the book is still in very good condition!
It tells the story of Tekla Haymanot, one of the saints of the Ethiopian church. A good read for children with plenty of illustrations.
