This book intrigued me. It's written by the doctor who consults with The Biggest Loser and is the closest thing I've seen yet to a safe way to replicate the rapid weight loss through exercise and diet that is achieved on the show. Even the books that are branded The Biggest Loser don't go this far. The program consists of one hour of intense exercise twice a day and moderate calorie restriction. To follow it completely requires setting up and following a rigourous schedule of bed time, wake time...more
One day I had the privilege of meeting Sione Fa from The Biggest Loser. I asked him what he had learned & what he would recommend. He told me about this book. I read it and liked the concept of exercising every day with recreational activities added on several more days plus weight training. I definitely disagree with using ankle weights for added resistance. I read this book several years ago and skimmed it again last week.
