KANGAROO TO THE RESCUE! by Moira Rose Donahue is the latest in the AMAZING ANIMAL HEROES CHAPTERS series from National Geographic Kids.

Each story includes three, short, fast-paced chapters. Appealing photographs of the

Fascinating! I learned so much about kangaroos and pot bellied pigs. My favorite animal was the potbellied pig Buttercup who helped bring an autistic child out of his shell. These stories show how animals and humans can share a beautiful bond. It made me appreciate and view animals in a new way.

I love old movies, tap dancing and opera. And OK, I love grammar and punctuation, too! I wrote ALFIE THE APOSTROPHE to let others in on the secret personalities of punctuation marks. Did you know that question marks love riddles and jokes? And exclamation points? Cheerleaders! You've probably already noticed that quotation marks are often filled with hot air. Albert Whitman & Co. was brave ...more
