Why has orthodox medicine waged war against this non drug approach? The author contends that the answ

A controversial book that some dismiss as outright quackery, the author makes the claim based on research that cancer is caused by a vitamin B17 deficiency. He also states that the American medical community knows it to be true based on many studies, but in conjunction with the FDA, has banned Laetrile (a B17 concentrate) for political reasons (you have to go to Mexico or Germany to get it). The vitamin compound was identified as part of the nitriloside family, found in over 1200 edible plants (...more

I am not sure how I feel about this book. The author is famous for conspiracy theories. But it has led me to seek to increase my intake of vitamin B17.

The author contends that Amygdalin known as Laetrile is a naturally occurring substance used as a treatment for cancer. Tests on mice by Dr. Kanematsu Sugiura at Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center between 1972 and 1977 showed Laetrile to be effective at lengthening life span. However due to influence of pharmaceutical interests the evidence was suppres...more

Edward Griffin lays out and builds a strong case on the naturally occurring vitamin B17, benefits, history and chemical composition. Like the Creature from Jekyll Island the book is fed to us in small spoonfuls, using only 8th grade English.

The second half of the book is more concerned with the politics of Cancer and how big pharmacy and the FDA are in bed with one another. As usual Griffin uses carefully placed arguments and well cited examples. Much of this shouldn't be a shock to anyone. Can...more

NOW IN ITS 20TH EDITION..... First published 1974

G. Edward Griffin marshals the evidence that cancer is a deficiency disease-like scurvy or pellagra-aggravated by the lack of an essential food compound in modern man's diet. That substance is vitamin B17. In its purified form developed for cancer therapy, it is known as Laetrile. This story is not approved by orthodox medicine. The FDA, the AMA, and The American Cancer Society have labeled it fraud and quackery. Yet the evidence is clear that her...more

One of many alternative cancer therapies that shows great signs of prevention and possible treatment. Just include foods with B17 in: when you eat an apple, eat a few of the seeds. Have certain sprouts with your salad or sandwich, etc. Highly recommend this book. I met an elderly man three summers ago ('06) who was passing through St. Ignace, Michigan, who had bladder cancer in the early '70's whose cancer left when he ate apricot kernels, then he went off them, it came back. He's back on, and c...more

I've never actually read this whole book, but as much as I've read is very sad.
It's about vitamin B17 which is a vitamin that acts on cancer. A fascinating book, although kind of hard because of how much history of evil there is in it. The information about the vitamin is fascinating and would change lives if it were better known.
I'm never going to let cancer take over my life :).

Well, it's a "story" indeed. The results that the author presents as scientific evidence are so ridiculously interpreted that I gave up reading half way through.

Excellent book on the subject. Thoroughly researched. There IS a cure for cancer...and it is not elusive to man kind as they would want you to believe.

Buku yang mengungkap penyakit kanker, obatnya, dan sejarah upaya untuk 'melestarikan' penyakit satu ini demi kepentingan-kepentingan tertentu.
