"I'm not blond or super fit or perfect. Not romantic, not "an individual," and definitely not a genius. So what am I? I'll tell you what : a bridesmaid.
this book will definitely be in my 'My Most Favorite Novels'. I picked this book up on a whim because I thought it'd be fun to read about someone else's crazy wedding to help me through all my own wedding planning stuff. What I ended up with was a total surprise-this was the perfect read. I loved all the characters-each sister is different which adds a fun dynamic to the story and the romance between Jack and Leo is perfect. Leo is totally a book boy crush-he's charming, he's sweet, he's hot, and he brings wedding cake samples-he couldn't be any more perfe More...

Karena review di Goodreads bagus banget, maka saya setengah mati nyari buku ini. And it turned out... well, sama sekali nggak mengecewakan.

Uhm, well, Jakarta sendiri sih nggak segitu exci More...

4.5 stars!

This book is painfully hilarious. If that makes sense. Lol. I love the way the story goes. I love every dialogue. Everything that is supposed to make the readers laugh made me laugh. That's how good the humor is in this book.

And I love the names of the sisters. PLACES, PLACES. They're cute :D

The sisters.

Alexandria. Seriuos. Fine.
Sydney. Didn't feel her presence. Fine too, I guess.
Victoria. Nagger. Overly romantic. Fine.
Paris. SUPER ANNOYING. Selfish. Not fine.
Sofia. Super kind. She's More...

Actually this book should be in the jr. girly fiction department, because i didn't realize it was YA when I bought it. It has a really cute cover, (the beach with flip flops) and was with a bunch of other romance/fiction paperbacks, so i figured it was a fun beach read. (It was, just the main character was younger than I expected). enjoyable, I might check out some of her other works too.

Kardeşlerinin gelin olma arifesindeyken geçirdikleri dönüşüm o More...

Teenie-chick-lit with a high fun-factor. The story (High-school-junior and uncomplicated youngest sister in a set of six believes herself to be responsible for a wedding day curse, vows not to bring a date to a wedding again, but falls in love with the her sister's wedding-planners son.) was not that exceptional and the romance part did not reach me very deeply. But I enjoyed the humor a lot. The five elder sisters' very diverse characters are depicted with a hilarious exaggeration and the contr More...

WEdding Curse??
Wow, Jakarta ( I know, weird name) have some serious superstition with this.
Patrick, her ex, a geek, had dumped her at her sister's wedding
David dumped her too, at her sister's wedding
She has 6 sisters, and their parents all name them after the country they're been too.
Sofia, Paris, Sydney, Victoria, Jakarta and (i don't really remember)
Leo, a gorgeous guy came to her life (Jakarta= Jack)
Will Leo win her trust, help her through good and bad times and life the wedding curse?
Or wi More...

Okay, uhm, this novel was definitely too cheery and enthusiastic for me. There was at least one word in CAPLOCKS on every page, pretty much. It got pretty annoying after a while, and the plot line was pretty predictable and bland. Nothing special happened, and the romance wasn't that intense or really there. I mean between Leo and her, they're both pretty flat characters. I skimmed a lot of parts, but I still got the gist of what was going on. But where Leo and her have (view spoiler)[sex? Really? That was so (hide spoiler)] More...

This book was fun - I often found myself laughing out loud. It was also a quick read because it gets you hooked and you want to know what happens next.
I only have one sister and she is ten years younger than me so I imagine it will take quite a few years before I have to help her with her wedding bud oh my gosh I hope she does not turn into a Bridezilla!!
What bothere me, though, was the fact how unggreatful the other sisters were! Jack did so much for them and they didn't even say thank you. I g More...

A crazy family!!!!!
The story is good but there are times that I got annoyed with the heroine.
She is so superstitious and she's starting to get under my skin..
Leo is awesome! and even there's only a little glimpse of Sofia and Ben's love story,
I still feel that whatever they have is more interesting than the main story.

I hate Paris at first yeah even Vicky for being crazy brides but I ended up loving them more in the end.
A very light-read, It won't push you on the edge of your seat, but it still More...

Jakarta (also known as "Jack") is determined never to fall in love or get married. She's seen her five sisters deal with boys and doesn't think they are worth the hassle. Plus, she's doomed by the "wedding curse": her dates at her sisters' weddings have turned out disastrous.

Two of her sisters are planning summer weddings and she's involved but sticking to her vow to not get herself into a relationship.

Then she meets Leo. He is the wedding planner's so More...

During the first half of this book, I was all set to give it five stars. Jack's family is delightfully zany, and Leo is practically perfect. The first half is just cute and fun. But a weekend full of teenage sex (not graphically described) followed by pigheaded determination to continue being superstitious in the face of reality made the last part of the book heavier, less fun, and nothing extraordinary. It was harder for me to root for Jack then. Still, a worthwhile fluff read.

This book is a good mixture of hilarious and serious. I spent two days on it; just reading the first 2 chapters I fell in love. I loved reading it because my cousin is going through a wedding phase and is planning everything around big puffy dresses, so instantly I connected with the author. My mom recommended this book to me because she thought it would brighten my mood about things, and boy was she right! I'd recommend this for anyone 13 and up because there are some slightly inappropriate sp More...

Okay, I think this book is quite great but I still like Never Bite a Boy on the First Date better. However, I love Leo!!! He is such a sweetheart!!! Funny, smart, sweet and the most important thing, HOT. He's exactly like every girl's dream boy... The story itself is entertaining but I don't really understand the whole thing of being a bridesmaid because I'm the eldest daughter of the family and still 17 so I don't really know about being a bridesmaid...

Everyone needs to occasionally read something easy and fun. As for me, I'm on spring break, so I decided to sit down with a book that would take me about 20 seconds to read and give me a fair amount of guilty pleasure. This isn't the best book I've read from this particular genre, but it works in a fix.
Quick summary: A girl named Jack (yes... Jack) falls in love with the son of her sister's wedding planner but for some reason catastrophe ensues whenever she has a date to a wedding... Confusing, More...

I really liked this book. It was funny but really cute and sweet. I read it pretty fast and thought Jack's theory was a little ridiculous but in a funny way and glad she saw it for herself. I also liked how Leo was the one who pushed for a relationship, often in books the girl makes a fool of herself and/or admires from afar and seems to be the driving force to make a relationship even if the guy did like them. I liked this better, it seemed sweeter on Leo's part that he seemed to care for her s More...

I wanted something fluffy, and I got something very fluffy ;). But while this was fun to read on that level, it was simply sooo unrealistic. I mean, I am pretty sure a guy like Leo does not exist anywhere in this world. It's just not possible. He is extremely good looking, he works for his mother the wedding planner and is even interested in all that wedding stuff and he pursues Jack endlessly although she says she doesn't want to date him - which she of course wants, but she is scared of the we More...

Here goes...

This is the kind of book that I love to read... quick, fluffy, romantic reads. But this book... it's quick, fluffy and ZERO romance.

Come on! The guy in this book that's supposed to make me feel "first-kiss-tingles, butterfly-in-stomach-feeling" screams GAY, GAY, GAY!

No straight guy I know helps his mom as an assitant wedding planner. PUHLEASE! Maybe as a driver or so... but on-hand with weddings? Okay, maybe not gay but is in touch with his feminine side...? Who am I kidding? still More...

This book was so funny! I highly recommend this book, and it would be best to read it in private as I found myself laughing hysterically in public. The end seemed to end a bit abruptly to me. Thus, the book was great until the end, when it kind of simmered out.

Maybe I'm finally "outgrowing" these books, or maybe this one just wasn't very good. Whatever the reason, I wasn't very fond of it. The characters were boring, and I couldn't wait for all the wedding stuff to be over.

Having 5 sisters myself, the book was a hoot! I loved the chaos! As I read, I would assign a sister to one of Jack's, making it even funnier! You NEED to read this book! Super fun read!

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Is what my dad asked after I busted out laughing. I justed flipped this book up for him to see that i wasn't hunched like a loon and laughing at nothing. "That good?" he asked. I nodded and then started chuckling again. Everyone whose ever been remotely involved in a wedding would enjoy this book. Ah and if you were a brides maid you'd feel for the main character.
