Unlike ANYTHING I have EVER read. It was so graphic and intense that I fluctuated between almost having a panic attack at her experiences in Hell and crying tears of joy at what he was experiencing in Heaven. Do we ever really stop and think what either place will be like other than Hell is bad and Heaven is good? You will never every think of Heaven or Hell in the same way after this story. At times it's tough to read because the images are hard, but it is so worth the read if you can handle it ...more

Found this book as a freebie on my Kindle and took a chance and I am so glad I did. I couldn't put this one down. As a Child of God, this story was heart breaking as the husband was a christian and his wife was not. They get into a car accident and both die, he goes to heaven and she goes to hell. Reading about all the pain and suffering she endures in hell is so heartbreaking and made me realize I DON'T want ANY of my family or friends to go to HELL!! People, HELL is real and I for one DO NOT P ...more

This book really got to me. As a Christian believer, it strengthened my belief not to go to Hell for anything. I was riveted and yes, appalled by the descriptions in Hell, and many will say that a good God could not do these things, but He has given us the choice of good and evil. I liked the way it ended, not at all what I expected. Highly recommended. Especially to those who are wavering in their belief.

Tearfully I read this electrifying book about a young couple's journey after death; one to Heaven and the other to Hell. This is a book everyone should read. Yet I have to warn you, although this book is difficult to put down, the scenes about Hell are painfully graphic. Thank you, Kenneth Zeigler for sharing this story about a difficult topic.

I will be keeping this one. This book is very thought provoking. I say a must read for Christians and especially non-christian's before it is too late!

The first chapter of this book caused me to have a crisis of faith for a few days. The description of judgement in the first chapter scared me half to death. I'd been a believer before reading this book, but I always kind of had an irrational of fear of what would happen if I got to Heaven and Jesus said "no"? But I won't go into details on that, so long story short, I did some research, prayed about it, and fully trust Jesus now. Back to the story. It makes you think. From the moment you start ...more

I absolutely LOVED, LOVED this book!! I found it Intense, Intriguing and Riveting! I read it as an eBook and thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters of Chris and Serena were well developed and you got caught up in their drama. The imagery of both settings were also well described and creative. It is vivid and graphic in these descriptions and the things that go on in Hell; it was still well worth the read. I don't want to give too much away and spoil the read for others. I just didn't want to put ...more

This book was amazing. It really made me rethink some parts of my life, and endeavor to do better. Even before reading this book, I knew I didn't want to spend eternity in hell. And now, I want to be 100% positive that I'm going to Heaven.

I feel like this is a book that my children should read when they come of age. It's so well-written, the descriptions are so real you actually feel as if you're there with them both, going through what they're going through. It's a book that when you read it, i

Not since Peretti's "This present Darkness", has a book which featured Demons and Hell from a Christian author's point of view , have I been kept awake a few nights from the horrendous terror of the picture this author draws of Hell. This book is not for the squemish. I Think Peretti has much better theology, but once you set aside some of the speculation and accept this book as a novel, it is riveting. This book , if taken as even partially true, has the potential to literally "Scare the Hell o ...more

Oh my gosh! I just finished this book and I've got to take a minute tho encourage others to read this book. Besides being one of the most entertaining stories I've read in a long time, it is one of the most important. No matter how much of this book fits in with what we will find to be fact, for now it am amazing inspiration tho study and ponder just what we do believe and too realize we had better take the time to do so-while we can. I highly, highly recommend this book!!! :)

One of the hardest books I have ever read. So hearbreaking and horrifying that I ended up skipping half the book. It broke my heart, challendged me, convicted me, made me question everything I believe. The thought that those I love could and will end up in this place of torment was just to much. It has renewed my faith. 100 pages into the book I found myself begging God for forgivness. The thought that I could end up in the horrible place scared me beyond any book I have ever read. A well written book, but very graphic in it's depiction of hell. I was taken back a bit, but then again, hell will not be a picnic for anyone. The book will cause anyone who reads it to think about the words we speak and our actions to others. There are many lessons taught throughout the book, and how our actions not only affect us, but others as well. Treat how you want to be treated. And what a GREAT God we serve!

Just finished this book. It was sooooo good! Just might be the best I have ever read! I can't wait to start the next in the series!!!
I have mixed feelings about this book. First the good: I'm very impressed with the scientific aspects of this fictional story, and though I'm no scientist, I can tell the author is very smart. I really liked the second half of this book a lot because the direction it took was completely unexpected & pretty much edge-of-your-seat thrilling. I also loved the ending, which I sort of expected something like that to happen, but still it was great. I also think the author composed the story well, ...more

Good book. It took me a while to get through because of how scary and realistic Hell was described. Honestly found myself praying at times reading this book! Some parts were a little too sci-fi for me, but all in all, a good read.

This was a doozy of a ride. It doesn't pull any punches.

Part I of a series, the book starts off with the main characters who are a married couple dying, one going to Heaven and the other going to Hell, with the resultant descriptions of what Hell is like (it's what you would expect) and what being in Heaven is like (it's probably not like anything you've heard before or imagined). Both descriptions gave me pause, the former because it seemed so trite, the latter because it was so novel.

This book is definitely a page turner. You can tell that the author really knows his bible and has done some good research to put it all together. The story is much less of a love story than it seems, but more of a description of the two fates that we can face on judgement day. I found that this story could be enjoyed even if you do not agree with all of the concepts in the book, but some of the concept did worry me a little. For example: Chris loved his wife so much that he was refused to be in ...more

Heaven and Hell, by Kenneth Zeigler, is a great read as it capitalizes on your imagination and peers deeper into your thoughts of heaven and hell. "Just what is life like after death?" has intrigued countless individuals over the years. Though fictional in nature, allow this novel to creatively portray hell as eternal torment and wet your appetite in delightful anticipation of your heavenly home awaiting you some day.

A good read

I normally contain my reading to religious fiction to historic fiction - but this one caught my attention. I have to state that I am Catholic and my reviews are based on my personal faith and the teachings of the Church.

This novel caught my attention due to the subject matter (transcendent love, disbelief and faith in Gods love). The writing itself does catch the readers attention and the characterizations of the two protagonists is extremely believable.

My issue is that of the author

This book was an interesting adventure. I had mixed feelings about reading this as I started, but I kind of liked it. Chris and Serena Davis are in a car accident. Chris goes to Heaven and Serena winds up in Hell. Chris isn't supposed to remember her but he has dreams about a mysterious woman and wonders why. Satan seems very intrigued by Serena, alluding to the fact that he has discussed her with God. He sentences her to what most think is a severe punishment considering her sins. She is allowe ...more

This book took me longer to read than any of the last few years, but it was totally worth it. This is the story of Chris and Serena, a married couple. Chris was saved, but Serena was not. This story tells of their experiences after death, his in Heaven, hers in Hell. It has a little bit of everything, including Scripture, science, fantasy, love, and redemption. Kenneth Ziegler ,the author, is a quantum chemist and a Christian. It is enlightening for a man of science to recognize where all of the ...more

Umm, well, it was a good story. I have a lot of issues with the Theology and have to keep reminding myself that it's just a story. It's not meant to be fact. In fact, some of the Theology bugged me so much that I had to put the book down and discuss it with my husband. The end of the book I'm not wild about. To be honest, I skipped a lot at the end. It's just too "out there" for me.
The book did give me enough to chew on though. Since we do not know exactly what Heaven and Hell would be like thi

I came across this book accidentally and decided to give it a chance. I've read several books about heaven and hell and each one has been different, of course. But none of those books, like this one, made me think. Often, I found myself taking a break to have a moment to myself.

There are a few things that irritated me throughout the story and that is Chris's and Jennifer's relationship. It just didn't seem real at all. Their dialogue wasn't believable to me and honestly, it seemed forced. And w

Awesome, soul inspiring, and humbling

Kenneth Ziegler is now one of my most favorite writers. This story is so bible related until you are drawn into the very depths of each individual. You feel the turmoil within your soul. You feel like you are reflecting on your relationship with the Father. It makes you check how your relationship is with Jesus and how you can bring hidden things to the forefront and deal with them. This book is so inspiring and it causes you to think and relate to scriptures

Five stars

Yes I have given this book five stars because that is the highest available, although it is a novel and I got hooked up to start with on the theology probably looking for an excuse not to have to deal with Serena's predicament. But the more I read the more I felt the need to do something about sharing with others, the hell is something that as Christians we are advised to not talk about but it is real and that fact alone should be enough to give us a shove to can up and witness to the

Definitely compelling, and to be taken tongue in cheek at times. I really need to point out the error about the fallen angels having sexual relationships with men, as he has totally misinterpreted that- remember angels are spirits having no actual box able to consummate such a thing. The verses in Genesis are referring to intermarrying evil. God commanded them not to do this. Apart from that it was thought provoking, and tbh at times terrifying and convicting. We can ascertain one fact that is t ...more

Loved this book and will be reading others in the series. Although it's fiction it is based on the author's view of what Heaven and Hell is all about. I read it and felt it was a great reminder that although you may think that just because you believe in God and Heaven, doesn't mean you'll be invited there after you die. And sure Hell sounds absolutely positively horrible in this story but it isn't supposed to be a pleasurable place. It's supposed to be a vile place where you'll suffer for all e ...more
