Well this book. I think i've read it 3 times. Once when I was just a kid. I was probably 9 when I read it for the 1st time. And by then I just thought of it as a cool book about a guy who had trouble taking of his armor. Now that I've read it, I found it's got a beautiful message, and it helped me understand having an armor, and putting walls around yourself only saddens your life. It's better to be open, appreciating everything that surrounds you and every detail that's part of it. Great book! More...

This book was recommended to me by my supervisor at my internship. I work at a mental health clinic. The story is a fable about how sometimes we put on armor to protect ourselves, but often make it so thick we push other people away. It is a powerful and at times funny story. I found my self in tears at more then one spot and then just as quickly laughing out loud. It’s a good, fast read.

A breezy and funny but insightful story about codependency and the problems caused by the 'knight on a white horse' mindset in relationships. I would recommend this to anyone who is showing signs of being hooked on people who need frequent rescue missions - it's gentle enough but clear enough that they might recognize themselves without it stinging too much to keep them from laughing about it.

Very, very short read. I bought the illustrated version, so I got nice pictures to go with the story. I read this about five years ago and I remember it made a stronger impression on me that it did this time around, probably 'cause I was troubled back then. Usually I'm not one to recommend self-help books but this one is alright. Guess it's got to do with me having a soft-spot for fantasy books.

Recommended by the Clinical Director of the counseling agency I work for, THE KNIGHT IN RUSTY ARMOR is a nice quick-read that gently encourages men to review their priorities and their emotional honesty. A nice bonus is the reminder that there is reward in having "expect"ations and conversely, "accept"ing reality.

This book was a short yet interesting read. It is a fiction story of a knight who gets stuck in his armor and is alluding to the idea that we all build up "armor" to protect ourselves from getting hurt and eventually we find we can't get out of this protection even when we feel it is keeping us from what we want. The knights journey is extremely metaphorical, almost a little too cheesy for my taste. It did make me think a bit though and look into my life to see where I might be havi More...

I actually read this book in Spanish for a University assignment. I thought in the beginning that I wouldn´t like it and would have difficulty understanding it. However, I found it to be very life-enriching.

A sweet short little book that follows that journey of a Knight who is trying to learn about his real self. A quick and fun read, reminding us to be real with ourselves and others.

The story/parable is well told, though it emphasizes a particular worldview that may be extreme in a few areas. Overall, the book makes some good points and is a fun read.

I began to read it by obligation, but at the end i enjoy it despite being a book of self-help. Personally, is a culpable pleasure, is a very simple story and I can only add that if you're going to read a book about personal improvement... at least this one has a good story.

This book , this book. It was one of those book you don’t put it down until you finish. I know its short but even though if it had more pages I would have still read it all in one day. It’s totally different from any other book I have read. Its basically about this knight that losses his personality because , it attached to the armor. The conflict is that his wife and son cant live with him like that because now the years have passed and they do More...
