Intrigued by Romance
This book was pretty intense. It contains Romance, Intrigue, and adventure. Melinda awakes in a strange man's bed only to find out that she is in the process of becoming a Vampire. Valdemar is a powerful Vampire who bit Melinda. Valdemar is going to show her how to become a Vampire and how much he has to give this young woman. Unfortunately I purchased this book and the 1st book in this series (Dark Desire) at the same time. I read them both because I didn't want to waste my money. Instead, I wasted hours of my life (thank goodness I'm a fast reader, otherwise it could have been days). The characters are unsympathetic and the writing lacks continuity. There were several places in this book where I went back because I was convinced I had skipped passages/pages. The story would suddenly JUMP somewhere new and I found my ...more
so far it reads very compelling and you just don't know where it is going. That makes it pretty interesting.
